HR Departmental Contacts and Lists (Department HR Contacts/College HRFE Contacts/SIE Request/Summer Exception Forms)
If you have an HR concern or request, it is always best to start with your local department HR representative. If you need help finding out who that is, visit the Your HR Contact page.
For our campus HR professionals, the HR Contacts lists have been streamlined into a single, comprehensive Excel sheet. This integration allows you to access the “Department HR Contacts,” “College HRFE Contacts,” “SIE Request” and “Summer Exception Forms” all in one place. View the document below.

HR Campus Partners/HR Caucus
HR Caucus is comprised of the lead HR partners in academic colleges and major administrative units who collaborate with IHR in the strategic direction of human resources for the university. HR Caucus meets monthly.
HR Collaborative
Illinois Human Resources hosts monthly HR Collaborative meetings. The HR Collaborative is a community of practice for the HR function at Illinois. HR professionals gather to share knowledge, experiences, and best practices around HR topics to ensure clear operations between IHR and unit HR professionals which in turn promotes excellent HR service to our university. The group produces and shares real-world insights, tools, frameworks, or solutions that help members improve their HR practices.
Discussions at HR Collaborative focus on Urbana system applications relevant to HR, such as HR Front End (HRFE), BANNER, PARIS, UI New Hire, and I-9 Tracker. Additionally, these meetings include information on appointment-related matters, addressing issues related to new hires, separations, and employee group changes and the impacts of employment changes on benefits, taxation, VISA implications or restrictions, and payroll deductions.
HR Collaborative membership is intended for professionals with significant HR responsibilities at Illinois. Membership is determined by the applicable HR Caucus member. Any HR professional wishing to join the HR Collaborative should complete the form below.
Regular virtual meetings of the HR Collaborative typically occur on the second Thursday of the month from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
HR Connect newsletter
Any Illinois employee with an interest in HR topics may subscribe to the monthly communication called HR Connect (formerly the HR Newsfeed). This newsletter typically includes a message from the CHRO, helpful job aids, features an IHR functional area, and highlights HR staff members from around the university.
